Brigit in beeld

Elk dier heeft een eigen karakter. Zo ook onze deerhounds. Brigit is een beetje dr. Jekyll en mrs. Hyde; een heel zachtaardige 'lady' voor ons en een enorm stout 'jongetje' als ze met de jongsten donderjaagt of met de roedel een andere hond tegenkomt. En altijd op onderzoek uit. Of op de uitkijk.

Every animal has it's own caracter. Our deerhounds also. Brigit is a bit like dr. Jeckyll and mrs. Hyde; a very gentle 'lady' for us and a little bad 'boy' when she's playing with the youngest dogs or when they meet another dog. And she's always exploring the place. Or keeping watch.





De kleintjes - Noor en Elynnhe zijn al anderhalf, maar voor ons nog steeds de pups van het stel - rennen ons ondersteboven, Cayleigh loopt in onze kielzog, Chelseigh blijft veel achterop lopen en Brigit is altijd links of rechts ergens een eind het bos in. Ze graaft nog steeds holen, al is het nu niet meer zo fanatiek. Het is weer even wat warmer, dus heeft de roedel een koele plek gecreeerd:

The little ones - Noor and E'lynnhe are 18 months now, but still puppies to us - are running around and into us, Cayleigh follows in our wake, Chelseigh stays a bit behind and Brigit is always crossing the forest. She still digs holes, but less determined. The weather is warmer now, so the deerhounds created a cool place:



En daar is het dan heerlijk toeven!
And then it's a wonderful place!
