Hol

Als Brigit loops is geweest, wil ze na een week of 9 altijd een hol graven. Schijnzwanger is ze niet, maar in haar hersenen komt toch wel een stofje vrij waardoor ze een plek voor de bevalling wil maken. Onder elke overhangende boom en in elk gat ziet ze de perfecte plek en gaat deze bewerken.

When Brigit has had her season, she wants to dig a hole after 9 weeks. It's not that she thinks she's in pup, but somehow her brain tells her to find a place to drop young. Under every appropriate tree or whole in the sand, she sees the perfect place and starts working.

Puur genieten

We lopen regelmatig door bos en over hei met onze 6 Deerhounds en dat is puur genieten! Helaas kun je de mooie beelden op je netvlies niet altijd met de camera vangen, maar bij deze dan toch een poging....
En voor alle duidelijkheid, ikzelf heb 2 deerhounds: Chelseigh en Noor en mijn schoonmoeder heeft 4 deerhounds: Cayleigh, Zoë, Brigit en E'lynnhe (allemaal teven). Beiden zijn we, al jaren, helemaal gek van dit ras.

We often walk through forests and heather with our 6 deerhounds and we truly relish the things we see. Unfortunately you can't always catch these beautiful images with the camera, but with these pictures I'm trying....
And to make things clear: I have 2 deerhounds myself: Chelseigh and Noor and my mother in law has 4 deerhounds: Cayleigh, Zoë, Brigit and E'lynnhe (all female). We both are totally crazy about deerhounds for quite some years now.
